A New Vendor Joins the Quincho Project

Now that the Quincho is complete, we needed a place to park our butts.  In other words, the search was on for a table.  Not just any table mind you, but an Italian Stone table – and a big one at that.  Enough for 8 of our friends and/or family (notice how “family” are never in the “friends” category) members to hangout and enjoy a real gut busting asado.

So – I figured that for 8 people we needed at least 6′ 6″.  After scouring the web for tables that I liked, I came across the Villa and Garden (http://www.villaandgarden.com) web site and ordered a 79″ x 40″ matte hand painted stone table and 8 chairs.  Never have I ordered such a tremendously expensive thing over the internet.  I’ll let you know how it turns out – fingers are crossed.

My big fat volcanic table

And 8 chairs to go with it

My big fat anodized armchair

So they say 8 – 10 weeks to get these, I’m targeting spring.  Wish me luck.

About The Quincho Project

Dedicated to the pursuit of all forms of live fire cooking and the thoughtful prose it evokes. Whether prodding at a dying fire, patiently waiting on a perfect steak or simply contemplating a thin blue curl of smoke - I am truly at peace.
